We have been trying to use some SEO techniques to boost our sites but not much luck. I have two websites. With the same search term, one ranked well but the other one is on page 2. I have added more content to the second one but it has still been on page 2. Google’s SEO is really mysterious to me.

Hi, thanks fot the great tips. Just a question, im using keywords in the url, this kewords are generated depnding on the title of the article (its a magazine’s site), the thing is that spanish is the language used, so i was wondering if it was better to replace spanish characters like áéíóú… for aeiou…, what dou you think??
I think that when people search they dont usually use the accentuated characters and also that google shows the keywords in the results no matter if you searched for mamá or mama… but will you get higher ranking by using the keywords without the accents??

Thanks for the tips. I know my own preference in urls as well in file names was hyphens over underscores, but I thought the opposite was true regarding search engine preference or what would be best used on the web. Good to know I can start using them again w/out worry and that the practice of using underscores is in fact not the best one.

nice post thanks! I personally love the use of textures to add reality to design. I really believe that textures improve usability by providing a realer user interface, which is closer and more familiar to what we deal with in everydays’ life.
