  4. Have appropriate and functioning pictures.

  5. Supply a "Privacy Policy" for individual information.

  6. Display the non-profit position of the organization.

Part 3: Interaction


An essential behind a non-profit website is providing a strong call to action or form of interaction for visitors to help support and promote the organization's mission.


Does the website:



  1. Provide an address and phone number for the organization.

  2. Allow visitors to filter their contact request to the correct person.

  3. Ask for visitors email addresses.

  4. Allow visitors to contribute by commenting or emailing.

  5. Allow visitors to contribute by a form of social media. (Facebook, Viagra maximum dosage, Online buying Viagra, Twitter, etc.)

  6. Provide a list and explanation of positions for volunteers.

  7. Describe how and where funds will be used.

  3. Look and function correctly across all major web browsers.

  4. Perform correctly when being accessed by screen reading programs.

  5. Have appropriately written content for the intended skill level of the audience.

A good interface can dramatically improve the production and presentation of an organization.

  1. Load without showing a splash page or advertisement.

  2. Load swiftly for those with a broadband connection.

  3. Perform correctly on an array of different screen resolutions.

  4. Have a clean and friendly layout and design.

  5. Prohibit pop-up windows on the home page.

  6. Have a comprehensive and eligible navigation.

  7. Provide all content within three or less clicks from the main navigation.

  8. Provide a site map or search feature for large websites.

  9. Have the logo or organization name on all pages.

  10. Use proper titles and headings for all pages.

  11. Use suitable named URLs.

  12. Provide pertinent content without having to sign-up or register.

  13. Allow a printer-friendly option for longer pages.
